Black Hairstreaks
The Black Hairstreaks at Glapthorn Cow Pasture began emerging on Wednesday 26th, so today (Sunday 30th) I made my way there. They tended to show fairly high up around the tops of the blackthorn, however eventually a very showy one came down and showed well for an hour at least giving plenty of opportunity for photos. It wasn't the best looking one with a sizable chunk taken out of it's wing but nevermind. Below are my best efforts along with a Large Skipper and a Honeysuckle.
