Bucknell Butterflies

Bucknell Wood, near Silverstone and only about 10 minutes from my house in Brackley, is a great local site for butterflies and one of my favourite places to go locally.

 Currently it is at it's best, particularly for the butterflies and when the sun is out, it's alive with all sorts of stuff. It holds particularly good numbers of Wood White, Silver-Washed Fritillaries, White Admirals and Purple Hairstreaks, as well as a small population of Purple Emperor.
